Why we are building Aiyori.
We surveyed more than 100 services in Japan and abroad, and decided to build it.

Before starting, we checked whether the same thing already existed. We surveyed more than 100 services in Japan and abroad. What we found when we checked the closest ones one by one is on the “Features” page.
What we found
The tools fell into three groups. Learning tools, for videos and homework. Communication tools, for contacting families. Management tools, for tuition and attendance.
That is because the buyers differ. Schools buy the learning tools. School offices buy the communication tools. Owners of tutoring businesses buy the management tools. So each grew up separately.
An independent teacher fits none of these. Videos here, homework photos there, messages somewhere else again, tuition handed over in cash. They had to stitch it together themselves.
What was missing
Hand out. Work. Mark. Review. As far as we could find, nothing brought this cycle together in a form that one independent teacher could sign up for alone.
Students grow beyond their teachers.
Aiyori means “from indigo” in Japanese. “Blue comes from the indigo plant, yet is bluer than indigo.” The words are Xunzi’s. We made every teacher’s greatest hope our name.
Education can be changed from one teacher’s classroom. We begin building in that belief.
