Where you live should not decide how you learn.

Whether there is a classroom close enough to attend. Whether you can find the teacher you want to learn from. Both depend a great deal on where you live.

Some cities offer one classroom after another to choose from. Some towns offer almost no choice at all. But the wish to learn is the same everywhere.

Good teachers are in every town. What is missing is a way to carry their lessons and their marking beyond the classroom.

Aiyori was made to be that way. So that recorded lessons, red-pen marks for each student, and the teacher’s words arrive just the same, wherever you live.

Education is a field where technology is still not used enough.

Work messages, shopping, booking a doctor: all have changed greatly over the past ten years or so. Yet in the classroom, teachers still hand out paper worksheets, collect notebooks, and count tuition envelopes.

Not because teachers are idle. Because the tools for teachers were never built. Streaming video, exchanging homework, contacting families, keeping track of tuition. Teachers have stitched separate tools together on their own.

We believe education is the field where the use of technology lags furthest behind. We want to change that.

Technology’s job is not to replace the teacher. It is to return the teacher to teaching.

Students grow
beyond their teachers.

A student takes what was taught, makes it their own, and in time goes further than the teacher. For anyone who teaches, there is no greater joy.

That does not take anything flashy. Having someone look at what you wrote. Having your mistakes marked in red. Having someone you can tell, “I don’t understand.”

That is why Aiyori cares so much about handwritten marking. The teacher sees not only whether the answer is right, but how the student thought, and answers in words. That back-and-forth is what helps a person grow.

“Blue comes from the indigo plant, yet is bluer than indigo.”
— Xunzi, “An Exhortation to Learning”

Blue is born from the indigo plant, and still becomes a deeper color than indigo.

Learning, too, goes beyond what it inherits.

Change education.
Change the world.

Aiyori is an education platform that brings teachers, students and families together. You do not need a large organization. A teacher can start alone.

Teaching materials belong to the teacher. Students never see ads or talk of money on their screens. Guardians see their child’s learning just as it is.

Education can change, starting from one teacher’s classroom. That is what we believe.
