The teacher issues the ID and PIN. An ID is 2–32 characters (lowercase letters, numbers, “.”, “-” and “_”). - Linking guardians and children
- The guardian enters an invite code issued by the teacher (valid for 14 days, single use).

- Currency
- Set for each classroom. Amounts are shown in that currency’s format.
- Where it is available
- Aiyori is available to classrooms in Japan, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Canada and Mexico. Classrooms outside Japan use Aiyori in a web browser. For now, the iPhone and iPad app is available only on the App Store in Japan.
- Opening a classroom
- After you apply, you can register students once Aiyori has reviewed the classroom.
How you are notified
- Notifications (iPhone and iPad app)
- New assignments, due dates (the day before and on the day), submissions, returned work, new messages, lessons about to start (30 and 10 minutes before), changes to the lesson schedule, and invoices.
So that you can tell which child and what it is about, a notification includes the child’s display name and the assignment title. It never includes message text, scores, the teacher’s comments or tuition amounts. Guardians and teachers can turn off names and titles in Settings. - When a new assignment is handed out. Sent right away to guardians, and to students who have an email address entered.
One summary a day. Guardians get it in the evening, teachers in the morning. It is sent only on days when there is something to report.
Both can be stopped from the link in the email.
Tuition emails (a new invoice, a late payment, a confirmed payment) are sent separately, as they happen.
Tuition and the usage fee
- Tuition records
- Set an amount and a billing day (day 1–28 of each month) for each student, and an invoice is created automatically every month and the guardian is told by email. When the teacher receives payment by transfer or in cash, they tap “Mark as paid”, and the guardian gets a confirmation email. “No billing” can also be chosen.
- Tuition by card
- Received in the teacher’s own Stripe account. Aiyori charges the card on the billing day. We take no fee.
- When a payment is late
- After the due date, the guardian is reminded up to three times, by email and notification. If there is still no payment, the teacher’s screen asks “Payment hasn’t been confirmed. Suspend this student?”. Students are not withdrawn automatically.
- Aiyori’s usage fee
- ¥400 per person per month (tax included). Free to try for 30 days.
Updates and compatibility
- App updates
- When an old version can no longer be used, the app tells you.
- Web
- Updates are automatic. There is nothing to reinstall.
