You can now see how much of a video was watched.

Teachers and guardians can see the share played, the parts skipped and the time spent. Each classroom can also choose its playback rules.

You hand out a lesson video, but cannot tell whether it was watched. We hear this from teachers often.

For videos and audio, Aiyori now records the following.

  • The share played, and the parts not played
  • The number of skips ahead
  • The time played with the sound off
  • The number of times the student left the screen during playback
  • The time spent, and the number of times it was opened

Playback rules

At first, playback is only recorded. If needed, each classroom can turn on the following rules.

  • No skipping ahead
  • No speed changes
  • Pause when muted
  • Pause when doing something else
  • Hide the questions until the video has been watched to the end

What it cannot do, written down too

The record shows only what was played. Whether the student was really watching or listening cannot be known from it. Nor can it stop a child from playing on another device. The screen says so as well.

Students are told that playback is recorded the first time they use Aiyori. This is so that no one is watched without knowing it.
